ESCALIER D’ARCHIMEDES: BALANCE Performance (2001)
ART OBJECTS
“Tinguely from Toggenburg” or “Alexander Calder Would Be Pleased”: newspaper headlines praise the visual works of art that are created for each of Rigolo’s productions. Among these are works such as the ESCALIER D’ARCHIMEDES, the immense installation at Rorschach by Lake Constance or the Rigolo PALAIS theatre tent, which consists of tied up willow trees and thirty enormous pyramids welded by different artists from all over Switzerland. The costumes, too, are true works of art, and even when it comes to advertising, Rigolo takes its own path. Thus, the entire production is a rounded, unique work of art.
