ART IS ADVERTISING
Most impressive was the pyramid event in 1998 in and around St.Gallen. Because no space could be found for SANDDORN in the centre of town, Rigolo was forced to move further out in the periphery, to Untereggen at Lake Constance. Under the administrative management of Thomas Imboden, Rigolo launched an art event without equal; for the 20-year-anniversary of the ensemble, 20 artists were invited to give life to the 20 large cloth pyramids lining the street from the city centre to the Palace. They honoured the pyramids with their art and motivated a great part of the audience to set out on bicycle or even on foot to see the performance. Rigolo is still grateful to these artists. The event had a great media resonance and started a successful advertising campaign; for the entire season, SANDDORN performed for a full house.
